Dr. Veni Mathur is a transport economist with a Ph.D. from the IIT, New Delhi, and has been Visiting Faculty at IIT, Delhi for the last 15 years.

Her Doctoral Thesis was on Transport Economics, Macro-economic Analysis of Indian Railways (with Special Reference to Projections of Traffic, Rail-Road Shares, Dieselization and Electrification, Fares, and Freight rates and Investment). 

Over the last twenty years, she has acted as a consultant to most of the National transportation bodies and forums.

With vast, experience in all modes of transportation planning and analysis, from the Inland Waterways Commission to The Railways to The Automobile Association of Upper India, she brings a unique package of expertise relevant to the transportation industry, from Operational Planning to Economic Projections to Cost Analysis, Logistics & Supply Chain Management.

She has immense teaching and course development experience for the last 15 years, at the most prestigious institutes including the IIT, Delhi, The School of Planning & Architecture, Delhi, The Indira Gandhi National Open University, The Institute of Rail Transport, Delhi and Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agricultural, Technology & Sciences,(Deemed University), Allahabad.

She was Dean at Million Minds Management Services Ltd., New Delhi, looking after training and placements (September 2011 to 2014).

Currently, She is Vice-chairman, Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT), India and Head, Education and Training Committee. She is also Education Champion CILT for India.
